At a distance of 66 km from Panjim Kadamba Bus Stand, 61 km from Vasco Da Ma Railway Station and 33 km from Margao Railway Station, Cola Beach is a stunning remote beach in Goa and among the most beautiful beaches in South Goa.
The Cola Beach or Khola Beach is a private beach located 5 km north of Agonda Beach and 12 km from Palolem Beach. It is one of the remote beaches of Goa that is suitable for those seeking a lovely place for complete peace and relaxation. It is also much cleaner and quieter than the better known Goa beaches. One distinctive point that separates Cola Beach from others is the fresh water lagoon on its sea shore that is connected to sea. It is one of the unexplored beaches in Goa which glorifies exotic beauty and tranquility. Cola Beach is characterized by the fresh and cool breeze of palm trees.
There are two beaches, Little Cola Beach in the north and usual Cola Beach in the south, which all together enframe two adjacent bays of the Arabian Sea. Each bay has its own private beach resort. Most beach resorts on Cola beach offer luxury Rajasthani tent accommodation, and some with beach huts. Most accommodations on Cola Beach are exclusive and include breakfast or meal packages, since there are no restaurants options on the beach and its remote location.
The beach is fairly safe, the lagoon offers great opportunities for swimming, fishing and kayaking, the beach offers great options for sports and the surrounding rocks offer a little bit adventure too. The depths of the sea near the coast changes abruptly plus there are stones on the sea bottom so it is better to consult with lifeguards about the best place to swim at.
The access to the beach runs through a dusty mud road from Cola village (5-6 km) which is not suitable for small cars except SUVs. This beach is not a good option to just visit and spend sometime. Rather, spending at least one night at the beach resort is the best way to explore it.
Best Time to Visit: October to March.
