Also known as Kandla Vana, the Sharavathi Kandla Mangrove Boardwalk is a remarkable nature trail that allows visitors to experience mangrove forests intimately. This trail is managed by the Karnataka Forest Department, which aims to preserve mangrove ecosystems and raise public awareness regarding their significance. It serves as an excellent destination for those wishing to immerse themselves in nature, particularly appealing to nature enthusiasts.

Situated directly across from Eco Beach in Honnavar, the Sharavathi Kandla Mangrove Boardwalk is easily accessible and hard to overlook. The boardwalk meanders through the mangroves, offering breathtaking views of the mangrove trees alongside the Sharavathi River. Informative display boards are strategically placed to enlighten visitors about the diverse flora and fauna of mangrove ecosystems, as well as the crucial role mangroves play in safeguarding the coastline from erosion and storm impacts.

As one traverses the wooden walkway for approximately 1.5 kilometers, they are greeted by the serene backwaters of the Sharavathi, surrounded by picturesque scenery that harmonizes water and lush greenery. Following this stretch, a narrow wooden bridge connects to a small mangrove island, providing an extraordinary experience and opportunities for stunning photography.
