At a distance of 1 km from Guruvayur Railway Station, and 1.5 km from Guruvayur Temple, Sri Chamundeswari Temple is a sacred Hindu temple situated in Guruvayur, Kerala. Located close to Parthasarathy Temple, it is one of the famous places of pilgrimage in Guruvayur, and among the best places to visit near Kozhikode.

The Chamundeswari Temple in Guruvayur is dedicated to Goddess Chamundeswari, an incarnation of Goddess Durga. The temple, also known as Thozhuvancode Shree Chamundi Devi Temple, has stood for more than a century and is a site of great religious importance, drawing worshippers in search of blessings and spiritual enlightenment.

The architectural style of the Chamundeswari Temple reflects traditional Kerala design, featuring intricate wood carvings, detailed sculptures, and colorful murals depicting tales from Hindu mythology. Within the inner sanctum lies the idol of goddess Chamundeswari, crafted from a blend of five metals known as panchloha - gold, lead, copper, iron, and silver.
