Ganapathy Temple - Kottarakkara, Kollam - Timings, History, Darshan, Pooja Timings

At a distance of 25 Kms from Kollam, Ganapathi Temple located in Kottarakkara is one of the famous temples for Lord Ganapathi in Kerala state.

Though the presiding deity of the temple is Lord Siva, this temple is famous as Lord Ganapathy temple. The temple is famous for Kottarakkara Unniappam, a rare sweet offered as Prasadam. The temple celebrated its famous festival called Thiruvathira in the Malayalam months of Meenam/Medam (April).

The temple also has smaller shrines for Goddess Parvati, Murugan, Ayyappa and Nagaraja. Non-Hindus are also allowed in this temple.
