At a distance of 5 km from Chanderi Bus Station, Koshak Mahal is a historic monument located in Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh. Situated in Isagarh-Chanderi Road, it is one of the most popular places to visit in Chanderi.

The simple and imposing Koshak Mahal was built in 1445 CE by the Sultan of Malwa, Mahmood Shah Khilji, to commemorate his victory over Sultan Mahmood Sharki at Kalpi. Though they had initially planned to make a seven-storey structure but could complete only three storeys. It is also said that the Sultan constructed this monument in order to provide employment to the people around the area. Koshak Mahal was constructed from white local sandstone. The stone was quarried from Fatehabad and Chhiyoli River, which resulted in Mallukha and Sultania ponds.

The Koshak Mahal is a square structure with large impressive arched doorways. The palace consists of four mansions of similar size and equally spaced from one another. A network of passages and overhead covered corridors connect them. The ceilings of the monument are embellished with beautiful designs and all the windows are carved with different designs. Standing on this structure one can get a wonderful view of the paddy fields lying across the monument.
