The small hillock of Gomatgiri is one of the most popular religious attractions for the followers of Jainism. The place was donated to the Jain Samaj by the government of Madhya Pradesh in 1981. The hillock is well-known for its 21 feet statue of Gomateshwar. The statue is said to be the exact replica of the Bahubali statue of Shravanbegola, Karnataka. The hillock is also adorned with 24 marble shrines dedicated to 24 'Tirthankara' of Jainism.
