At a distance of 40 km from Jabalpur, Nidan Falls is an amazing waterfall located at Katangi near Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Often referred to as Katangi Waterfall, it is one of the scenic waterfalls in Madhya Pradesh, and among the best places to visit near Jabalpur.

Nidan Falls is an eye-catching waterfall flowing down between the high black rocks which fall from a height of more than 100 feet. This fall is also called Nidan Kund. The black stones have an irregular surface and form step-like apparition which makes the view of the waterfall even more breathtakingly beautiful. Here you get to see two waterfalls. These waterfalls are present in lush green surroundings providing picturesque scenery.

During the monsoon, there will be a rise in the water levels which makes the falls a perfect spot to spend some time with family and friends. Visitors can soothe themselves by taking a plunge in the freshwater of the falls. Also, it is an ideal place for all nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers. Adventure activities like trekking can be taken up by interested visitors to track the entire distance of the falls. However, there is no water during the summer season.
