Hanuman Point is situated towards east of Jawhar city in the vicinity of Jai Vilas Palace. There is an old temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, and is also called Katya Maruti Mandir due to the surrounding dark forest of cactus. The temple is surrounded by a deep valley a nearly 500 feet on three sides. The valley also known as Devkobacha Kada. A viewpoint was constructed near the temple during renovations, which is now known as Hanuman Point.
This spot is equipped with a few benches where visitors can sit and enjoy the breathtaking view of the valley, along with the magnificent backdrop of the fort and lush greenery. In the evening, one can catch a glimpse of the historical fort of Shahapur Maholi from this vantage point, while at night, the lights of trains passing through Kasara ghat can be seen.
Hanuman Point is easily accessible and offers a splendid view of the Jai Vilas Palace. The beauty of this place is enhanced during the monsoon season, when nature is at its peak and a refreshing breeze carries cool droplets of water in the humid air.
