The Birla Ganapathi Temple, also referred to as Shri Mangal Murti Morya, is a huge Ganapathi idol situated on a hill overlooking the Mumbai-Pune highway at Somtane Phata, Talegaon. This establishment belongs to the Birla family, and the idol was crafted by Maturam Verma and Nareshkumar Verma from Pilani. Standing at approximately 54 feet tall, the idol is positioned on an 18-foot pedestal that is 45 feet wide. Notably, the dimensions have been meticulously designed to total the number 9, which is regarded as auspicious. The statue faces east.

The Birla Ganapathi idol is regarded as one of the biggest idols of Lord Ganesha in the city of Pune. One needs to climb around 180 steps to reach this imposing Ganesha idol from the base of the hill. The view from the summit is particularly stunning, especially during the monsoon season when the area is adorned with lush greenery and vibrant flowers.
