At a distance of 4 km from Jaipur Railway Station, the Museum of Legacies is a museum located in heart of the walled city of Jaipur. It is one of the prime places to visit in Jaipur for history buffs.

The Museum of Legacies is situated within a 200-year-old haveli in the historic Kishanpole Bazaar of Jaipur. This haveli, built in 1823, served as the residence of Pandit Shivdeen, a minister in the court of Ram Singh II. He later donated the property to the reigning king for the establishment of an art school. In 1857 AD, Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II founded the school of arts, which was subsequently transformed into a museum by the state government in 2017.

Managed by the Department of Archaeology, the museum's primary objective is to create an artistic environment that showcases the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan. Its diverse collection encompasses a wide range of items, including textiles, jewelry, and stoneware, inlay work, paintings, pottery, and more. Additionally, it provides a platform for indigenous art from various regions of India. This institution serves not only as a traditional museum but also as a vibrant space for art enthusiasts, workshops, and exhibitions.

The building features three floors and houses eight galleries that exhibit various artifacts curated by different art collectors. Each gallery is dedicated to an individual who has significantly contributed to the art and culture landscape of India. Brij Bhasin's collection of Everyday Embroideries highlights the exquisite textiles found throughout Rajasthan. Mitch Crites showcases semi-precious stone and marble creations, along with paintings that he and his wife, Nilou, have lovingly gathered during their time in India.

Other notable artifacts in the museum's collection are the intricate marble jali work by master carver Dalchand Jatar, the dazzling legacy of Sudhir Kasliwal featuring antique silver jewelry alongside photographs of individuals adorned with these ornaments, and Dhurrie designs produced by the Jaipur Central Jail in collaboration with Vayu. The museum also displays large Rajasthani puppets crafted by the esteemed puppeteer Vicky Bhatt.
