At a distance of 18 km from Kotagiri, Kodanad Viewpoint is a vantage point situated near Kotagiri in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the best tourist places in Kotagiri.

Kotagiri itself is a charming and pristine landscape, providing numerous vantage points for breathtaking views of the valley and lush greenery. One notable location is the Kodanad Viewpoint, which presents spectacular panoramas of the adjacent hills and valleys. Renowned as one of the most picturesque sites in the Nilgiris, Kodanad offers an impressive 220-degree vista of the landscape.

Located at an altitude of 6,000 feet, the viewpoint has an upper deck and a lower deck. Visitors are treated to magnificent sights of Rangaswamy Peak, Dolphin's Nose, Catherine Falls, Rangaswamy Pillar, Thengumarahada Village, the Deccan Plateau, and Bhavanisagar Reservoir, all of which are sure to inspire awe. It is also a great place to witness the sunrise or sunset.

A pleasant drive from Kotagiri meanders through the verdant expanse of tea estates, believed to be the property of Jayalalitha. The roads within this estate are impeccably maintained, and the entire area is enclosed by tall compound walls and gates.
