At a distance of 19 km from Ooty, Bison Valley viewpoint is a spectacular viewpoint located in Bellikkal near Ooty. Situated on Ooty - Masinagudi road, it is one of the most thrilling tourist places in Ooty.
Surrounded by cardamom forests and tea estates, Bison Valley derives its name from the Indian Bison that roams in large numbers throughout this area. Besides, the tree has a diverse range of wildlife animals in its natural habitat, including tigers, bears, elephants, deer, etc. Here, one can also spot various birds roaming from here to there. Morning droves, drongos, bulbul, shrikes, and woodpeckers are some of the common birds to spot here.
One can enjoy splendid views of the cardamom forests and verdant tea plantations from this stunning vantage point. Taking leisurely walks on the numerous pathways that meander around the valley is a popular pastime for tourists.
