At a distance of 1 km from Rameswaram Railway Station, Rama Theertham is a holy pond situated in Rameswaram. Situated beside Lakshmana Theertham, it is one of the 64 sacred ponds in Rameswaram.

Rameswaram is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in Tamil Nadu. This town is blessed with a multitude of ancient temples and holy water bodies, with Rama Theertham being particularly notable. It is located near Lakshmana Theertham, Sita Theertham, and the Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple. According to tradition, it is believed that Lord Rama bathed in this theertham.

Adjacent to Rama Theertham lies a Rama Temple, where Lord Ram is said to bless his devotees alongside Sita, Lakshmana, and Hanuman. Although modest in size, the temple is aesthetically pleasing, constructed in the traditional Dravidian architectural style, featuring intricately designed pillars. Individuals affected by naga dosham perform rituals at Agni Theertham and subsequently install Naga (Snake god) statues around the Rama Temple near Rama Theertham. This location is also known for the remarkable floating stones that can be observed.

The pond at Rama Theertham features a mandapam situated at its center, surrounded by water on all sides. The tank is teeming with fish, and local vendors sell food for the fish nearby.
