At a distance of 2 km from Haridwar Junction Railway Station, Parad Shivling is situated inside the Harihar Ashram at Kankhal in Haridwar.

Parad Shivling is a unique Shivling worshipped at Harihar Ashram and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Shivling was offered first prayer during the Kumbh Mela in 1986. The name Parad Shivling literally means Mercury Shivling. This holy Shivling is made from 151 kg of pure Mercury. This Shivlinga is one of its kind in the world. Solidification of mercury is a unique process which makes this shrine popular.

Thousands of devotees visit the Harihar Ashram to offer prayers to the Parad Shivling and the shrine is also known as Paradeshwar Mahadev. There is another beautiful temple of Maha Mrityunjay in the ashram premises dedicated to Lord Shiva and there is also a big Rudraksha tree.
